Luis Echegaray supports, mental health care, Veterans services, small businesses, and education.

Luis is a U.S. Army Veteran who has worked in the Consumer Electronics & Wireless Industry for over 14 years, running sales teams and helping build brands that are household names today. Luis used his G.I. Bill to obtain a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Cal State University Fullerton and a Master’s Degree in Education from Azusa Pacific University. Luis used his California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential to teach 6th grade for four years. Luis moved to Round Rock in 2010.

He and Lisa have two teen daughters, one a recent graduate of the Round Rock ISD, and one who is a Round Rock ISD student who is on the high school dance team. Luis’ parents immigrated legally to the United States from Ecuador in the 1960’s; his father was an independent business owner for over four decades demonstrating to Luis and his two brothers that the American dream was possible with grit and tenacity.

Luis will apply that same grit and tenacity, combined with his business acumen, energy, and drive as your next HD 52 State Representative! He will work to expand affordable mental health care for all, especially students and Veterans; identify Veterans in all Texas counties permitting expanded services for homeless Veterans, unemployed Veterans, and tackle Veteran suicides. He will also champion training to begin small businesses and explore tax breaks for small to medium businesses. As an educator and father, he is a strong advocate for increased funding for education and for providing pathways for students to succeed who are not college-bound.
